This Adinkra symbol tells us to look back at our past in order to learn from it and move forward. Adinkra symbols are visual symbols that originated in West Africa, specifically in the Kingdom of Ashanti in present-day Ghana. They are used in cloth, pottery, jewellery, and as symbols to communicate specific concepts or ideas.
